About
This is a project where I developed a sophisticated brand with a local book club through developing a one page, informational website.
I wanted to create a site that reflected the values of the group members and portrayed their meetings and literature as sleek and alluring. Pre-pandemic, most of their meetings took place in the evenings at coffee shops and bars. I used color and images to bring the sophistication of those settings into the design of the website
The new webpage features information about the group, their meetings and current literature using a modern and sleek design.
Brand Development
Bluehouse Papers needed a brand that reflected both the values of the group and the group members themselves. I chose a dark theme for their site to emphasize sleekness and sophistication. Blue hues were included in the color palette to reflect the name and add a sense of calm and security.
Web Design / Web Development
The purpose of the website was to be informational with a call to action to sign up for the group. I decided this could be done using a single page website design. I developed a wireframe and developed the website using HTML5, Bootstrap and CSS. I added some functionality to the site using JQuery.
