About
After 8 years of servicing the twin cities area with producing, directing and capturing footage, Deft Pictures (a video production company) was seeking a rebrand. I worked with one of the cofounders of this company to create a new brand identity and website for them.
Branding
Storytelling...Quality...Sincerity...Creativity...
When I met with the client, four words kept coming up in our conversation that the brand they wanted to portray. They wanted to come across as storytellers firstly and primarily. They also wanted to build trust with their clientele through sincerity and making a quality product. Finally, they want to bring forth a creative flair in their work.
The visual themes and motifs the company settled on contained many punk and rock elements. It was important for the brand to keep the identity of being professional, but also stand out. The brand styles that were finalized reflected a sophisticated take on early 2000s punk rock aesthetic.

Business Needs
The most important business need from Deft Pictures was to get new clients from the site. The company also needed to establish information about services and previous examples of work.  While fulfilling the business needs, the site had to cement the new Deft Pictures branding.
Users
The target audience for Deft Pictures are individuals living in the south  twin cities metro. They are business owners, music artists, and film enthusiasts. These users are looking for video coverage of an event, or business, or idea for a narrative.

Website Development
After reviewing the business and user needs, the decision was made to use Wordpress to develop the Deft Pictures website.
